Beta tester terms
Freeholdpilot is in beta. Buildings can use it for real now, and help us shape it, on a time-limited trial. These terms sit alongside our terms of service and privacy notice.
1. The trial
Your building's beta trial lasts 30 days from the day you set it up. There's no charge during the trial, and we don't take card details. Your company can use the features of the plan you chose. We may extend a trial; if we do, we'll tell the directors by email.
2. After the trial
Freeholdpilot is a paid service. To keep using it after the trial, the company will need to choose a paid plan. Until billing is switched on, we'll contact the directors before the trial ends to arrange this.
If no plan is chosen when the trial ends, the building's portal becomes read-only: everyone can still see the documents, accounts and history, but nothing new can be added. We keep the building's data for 90 days, and you can ask us for a copy at any time. After that we delete it, unless the company has chosen a plan.
3. Indicative prices
At sign-up we show the price your building would pay. These are the indicative prices today, excluding VAT:
- Small Block: £15 per building a month, for blocks of up to 20 flats
- Board Essentials: £20 + £1 per flat a month, never more than £100 a month
- Self-Managed Pro: £50 + £3 per flat a month, never more than £300 a month
- Managed Plus: £100 + £8 per flat a month
A fixed 12-month term costs 10 times the monthly price and never renews by itself. Prices may change before billing goes live. If they do, we'll tell the directors before anything is charged, and nothing is ever charged without the company choosing a plan.
4. What beta means
- Some features are unfinished, and things may change or occasionally go wrong. Please keep your own copies of important documents; connecting your Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive keeps the originals where they are.
- The assistant gives legal information, not legal advice, and can make mistakes. Check anything important against the lease itself, or ask a solicitor.
- Payments are self-managed, with open banking control: Freeholdpilot never holds the building's money, and directors approve payments.
- We'd like your feedback. We may ask the directors for a short call now and then, and we may contact you about the beta. You can say no.
- We won't name your building publicly, for example as a case study, without the directors' written permission.
5. Leaving
The directors can end the beta at any time by emailing hello@freeholdpilot.com. We'll give you a copy of your building's data on request. We may end the beta for everyone, with at least 30 days' notice by email.
6. Who you agree with
You agree these terms on behalf of your building's company with the operator of Freeholdpilot, whose details are on our legal information page.
